NanoBase™

Precision At The Nanoscale

Powering Performance & Redefining Results

NanoBase™ Classic

Formulation Class: For Serum-style nano-formulas ( and some wash off formulas)

Primary Function: Structuring base for lightweight delivery systems

NanoBase Classic is designed for formulations that require a light, serum-like texture with excellent penetration. With its high-water balance and nanoscale dispersion, it creates fast-absorbing products that feel weightless while carrying actives deep into the skin.

Technical Foundation

NanoBase Classic provides a nanoscale oil-in-water interface that allows efficient distribution of both hydrophilic and lipophilic actives. The structure enhances clarity, improves stability, and creates a smooth finish without heaviness.

Formulation Performance Observations

  • Creates a serum-like finish with fast absorption

  • Improves distribution of peptides, antioxidants, and water-soluble actives

  • Provides excellent clarity and stability under stress conditions

  • Leaves skin smooth without residue or occlusion

Formulation Compatibility

  • Stable at high shear mixing speeds

  • pH stability range: 5.0 to 6.0

  • Compatible with: peptides, antioxidants, humectants, botanical extracts, fragrance oils

  • Not recommended for heavy oil or wax-based formulations

Use Case Examples

  • Serums and booster treatments

  • Lightweight gel-creams

  • Hydrating elixirs with high active loads

NanoBase LUXE

Formulation Class: Cream-style nano-formulas

Primary Function: Structuring base for emulsion-style delivery systems

NanoBase LUXE is designed for rich, emulsion-style formulations that deliver deep hydration and barrier support. It combines nanoscale stability with a creamier sensory profile, creating luxurious products with a soft, cushion-like feel.

Technical Foundation

NanoBase LUXE maintains nanoscale droplet distribution while supporting higher oil loads compared to Classic. This creates a stable, emulsion-like structure that delivers a rich texture while protecting sensitive actives.

Formulation Performance Observations

  • Creates a creamier, cushion-like texture suitable for moisturizers

  • Provides long-lasting hydration and barrier reinforcement

  • Maintains clarity and stability under accelerated stress tests

  • Enhances delivery of lipophilic and hydrating actives without heaviness

Formulation Compatibility

  • Stable at high shear mixing speeds

  • pH stability range: 5.0 to 6.0

  • Compatible with: lipophilic actives, botanical oils, humectants, peptides, antioxidants

  • Not compatible with high-alcohol systems

Use Case Examples

  • Daily moisturizers

  • Rich night creams

  • Treatment creams with both oil and water-soluble actives

NanoBase™ W

Formulation Class: Water-dominant nanoemulsion

Primary Function: Structuring base for rinse-off and aqueous delivery systems

NanoBase™ W was created for formulations that demand clarity, lightness, and clean rinse performance. With its high-water balance and stable nanoscale structure, it disperses oils, actives, and fragrance components evenly in wash-off systems.

Technical Foundation

NanoBase™ W provides a nanoscale interface that keeps hydrating agents, botanical extracts, and surfactant systems uniformly distributed until rinsed away. The design enhances clarity, improves active stability during short contact, and prevents uneven separation in body washes, facial cleansers, and gel masks.

Formulation Performance Observations

  • Supports stable distribution of oils and actives in aqueous, rinse-off systems

  • Maintains clarity and uniformity even when paired with surfactant systems

  • Internal testing shows improved fragrance retention and smoother rinse-off compared to conventional wash-off bases

  • Provides a gentle, lightweight skin feel without residue after rinsing

Formulation Compatibility

  • Stable at shear speeds up to 12,000 rpm

  • pH stability range: 5.0–6.0

  • Compatible with: botanical extracts, mild surfactants, peptides, hydrating actives, tocotrienols, fragrance oils

  • Not compatible with: high-alcohol systems or heavily wax-based formulations

Use Case Examples

  • Body wash and shower gel formulations

  • Facial cleansers and gel washes

  • Wash-off gel masks and exfoliating systems

  • Treatment-style toners and essences (not traditional clear toners)

NanoBase™ X

Developed for breakthrough formulations where traditional lipid systems may not be the best fit, NanoBase™ X can be offered in custom ultra-fine particle size and exceptional stability with a non-phospholipid structure. This unique approach expands compatibility with advanced actives and visually dynamic cosmetic effects.

Formulation Performance Observations

  • Structural distribution characteristics: Nanoemulsions in the 80–300 nm range have been explored in laboratory models for their ability to provide deep, smooth, even dispersion of actives.

  • Expanded compatibility: Non-phospholipid structure supports pigment dispersions, optical modifiers, and other specialty effects.

  • Flexible formulation potential: Maintains stability in high-impact serums and complex cream formats.

  • Consistent sensory profile: Demonstrates a refined, non-greasy feel and maintains clarity in internal testing.

Use Case Examples

  • High-performance treatment serums with unique active combinations

  • Cosmetic research projects involving advanced delivery chemistries

  • Formulas requiring compatibility with both hydrophilic and lipophilic visual effects agents

Formulation Compatibility

  • Stable at shear speeds up to 12,000 rpm

  • pH stability range: 5.0–6.0

  • Compatible with: Bakuchiol, Niacinamide, peptides, tocotrienols, pigment dispersions, specialty optical modifiers

  • Not compatible with: High-alcohol systems or heavily wax-based formulations
